5 De Mayo or Fifth of may is an annual celebration on May 5. The day commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory on the French at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the command of General Ignacio Zaragoza. 

In the U.S. the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American More than being a tradition over the years to treat oneself with great party reunions, Authentic Mexican tacos, burritos, margaritas and having a great time.
